Have your dog sit in front of you
STEP TWO
Kneel down and ahold a treat in your hand right near your dog's nose.
STEP THREE
Give the command DOWN and slowly bring the treat straight down keeping it near the nose.
STEP FOUR
Praise abundantly and give him the treat for any slight movement towards a down position. Be sure to say the word GOOD when praising.
STEP FIVE
Release dog.
STEP SIX
Repeat for 5 minutes.
