Seller's Responsibilities:
The Seller warrantees that the puppy is in good health at the time of delivery to the Buyer. The Seller will provide CKC registration papers (if available), shot/worming records and feeding schedule for the puppy. Should the puppy prove to be seriously ill at their first health exam done within 10 days from date of pickup, the buyer may return the puppy at the Buyers expense for a full refund of the purchase price or keep the puppy and the Seller will reimburse the Buyer for all medical costs, not to exceed the purchase price of the puppy, for ailments covered in this warranty diagnosed at their first health exam, seller must be notified within 3 days of initial vet visit with claim of ill health.The warranty will be void if the Buyer does not have the puppy examined within the initial ten (10) day period. The seller shall provide a 24 month warranty beginning with the date of pickup against serious inherited defects that affect and alter the quality of life of the above mentioned dog and render it unfit to function as a pet. In the case that such a defect should appear, upon verification by a qualified veterinarian, the seller shall refund the purchase price OR replace the dog with one of equal or greater value. Buyer will keep the original purchased dog. If the dog is diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia, the buyer must provide documentation form the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or PennHIP to verify this claim. An OFA rating of Poor or below or PennHIP percentage below the median range for this breed will need to be shown to be eligible for a replacement puppy or refund.The guarantee is null and void upon any evidence of abuse or neglect. Chronic obesity and/or poor hygiene will constitute neglect.
Buyers Responsibilities:
The buyer must have the puppy examined by a veterinarian of his/her choice within ten (10) days of delivery, this is to make sure that the puppy is in good health at the time of sale. Please take a stool sample from your puppy to his/her first vet visit, sometimes parasites that are not controlled with over the counter medicine may be present such as Coccidia, Giardia or worms.These are common ailments and are easily cured, they are not warranted in this contract because some can be brought out by stress and we all know how stressful it can be on a puppy leaving it's loved one's.This warrant will be considered void if the dog is not examined in the ten (10) day period. Upon delivery the Buyer agrees to provide all routine care including, but not limited to, vaccinations, worming and annual check-ups. Failure to provide preventative care will void the warranty.
The Buyer agrees to provide a safe and loving home. If for any reason the Buyer can't keep the dog, and is unable to secure a suitable home, the seller will help the buyer re-home the dog. Under no circumstances should the dog be placed in an animal shelter.
The buyer must send a picture of the above mentioned dog to the seller between the ages of 9 months to 1 year old. This is so I can show other buyers what their puppy will grow to look like and so I can see that the dog is being taken care of. You can send the picture by email or by U.S. mail to the address listed on this purchase contract. Failure to do this will void this contract. This dog has been sold as a pet only and must be spayed/neutered by 8 months of age.
